The new feedback calculation structure begins on May 19 on the eBay US site. Sellers will only be able to leave positive feedback for buyers, yet buyers can leave positive, neutral, or negative feedback for sellers. It has already begun on eBay Australia, and is scheduled to begin on eBay UK on May 15. The new calculation method, positive feedback will be based on the last 12 months of activity, not on the seller's complete history. ![]()
Feedback will be removed if a buyer does not respond to the unpaid item process. If a member is suspended or removed, his feedback for a seller will be removed. (So be sure and file those NPB reports so that collectively, as sellers, we can stack the deck against the non-payers.)
Ina Steiner has posted a great little tool on her blog for determining what your feedback score will be under the new calculation method. Calculate your score now. I tested the calculator out on my user ID, and some of my fellow sellers', and while mine didn't change but one point, I saw drastic changes in others.
How does your new score compare with your current score? What are your thoughts on this new calculation method?
