Today's guest post is brought to us by Susan Deppner, the author of the blog, "My 52 Cents - Auction Tips." Susan is an active eBay seller and a top 100 lensmaster on Squidoo. Susan is the Squidoo expert, so listen to what she has to say!

How to Use Squidoo to Promote Your eBay Business

by guest author Susan Deppner

Do you sell on eBay? Then you need a Squidoo lens. What's Squidoo?  Why, it's the best tentacled marketing tool on the planet! Squidoo pages are called lenses, and for a reason. Each Squidoo lens focuses on the expertise of its creator - that's you!

Didn't know you were an expert? Well you are. You know your own eBay business better than anyone, so that qualifies you as an expert. Have a particular niche on eBay? Then make a Squidoo lens about that niche (glassware, postcards, collectible dolls) and establish your role as the go-to glassware/postcard/collectible dolls/whatever expert on Squidoo. Sell a variety of products on eBay? Make a lens about your eBay store and show the world what you have to offer. Specialize in something of particular interest to other eBay sellers? Choose that topic for your Squidoo lens. I did!

What's so good about Squidoo? Think "search engine friendly." Think "free." Think "set up a lens in less than five minutes." You can, though to make it work you'll need to nurture your lens by filling it with great content which is the secret to success on Squidoo. I recommend little Squidoo lens "tweaks" at least every week to keep the lens fresh, interesting, and growing.

You can set up your lens with a regular Squidoo template, or if you prefer, you can set it up with a special template that distinguishes it as an eBay lens. You'll find the starting page for that at squidbids.com, one of several co-brands on Squidoo.

So, ready to get started? Good, I'll see you on Squidoo!

Below are just two of Susan's many Squidoo lenses:

I've been a fan of Susan's for awhile and subscribe to her news feed. Her lenses are terrific and inspired me to create several of my own on Squidoo for my eBay store categories! You can always count on great tips! Thanks for sharing!
