By now, everyone has heard that beginning in May, sellers will only be able to leave positive feedback for buyers. No negatives, no neutrals. The worst a seller can do is leave nothing. Even eBay's Griff isn't quite sure what to think.
The announcement of this change leaves sellers wondering, "What if my competitors open a different eBay ID, purchase my products, and leave negatives, to drive me out of business?"
This is an interesting concept. Could eBay really get this ugly? Are people really
this vicious? Will eBay competitors sabotage each other now that the seller can't fight back?
I guess I am just the type of person who chooses to direct my energy in a positive manner. I would rather spend my time restructuring my business to adapt to the changes, rather than opening a bunch of new IDs so that I can sabotage my competitors. All I can say is what goes around comes around. Be sure you can take what you dish out.

If people were going to do this, they'd already be doing it. They'd be taking advantage of the seller non-performance policy to neg competitors into NARUness. In fact, they'd have been leaving negs for you for years just to put buyers off, and buying stuff from you and doing chargebacks to try to steal your stock.
I don't think it's going to happen. But the ability of the eBay community to think of the worse case scenario is beyond belief sometimes.
