The word on the street is that sellers will boycott eBay during the week of Feb 18-25, the week the new fee changes are instituted. Read the official thread on the eBay forum "Seller Central," and sign your name to the pledge, if you wish. So far, 65 pages of conversation and pledges have been added to the thread.
The strike, or boycott, is about all I am seeing in my groups, forums, news feeds, and on eBay blogs. I'm more than interested to see how many sellers actually pull their listings, or put their stores on vacation. I will not. First of all, I am not that passionate about the changes. I'll adapt and move on.
Secondly, I am a single parent and eBay is how I earn my living, pay my bills, buy groceries, and pay the mortgage. eBay isn't a game for me, it takes care of me and my two children. Sorry, guys, but some of us need the money. I
don't remember joining a union when I became an eBay seller. I hope to sell more than usual during the strike week since perhaps supply will be lower than normal.
Yesterday, I had a conversation with another seller on a forum, and she was beside herself with hate for eBay - literally having a tantrum. I asked her why she didn't just close up shop and find another venue to sell. Her reply, "I don't want to leave, I just want eBay the way it used to be. It's not fair what they do to sellers." I had to laugh to myself. Somewhat of a spoiled child mentality. It is time to adjust, adapt, think, and decide if you are in this as a business or a hobby. I don't think stomping and yelling is the solution here.

Well said :-)
