eBay Alternatives - Other Websites for Selling

I've been receiving a lot of questions from eBay sellers who are looking for other venues to sell in the wake of the new eBay fees and feedback system. Here is a list of options. Keep in mind that these sites do not have the traffic or advertising budgets that eBay has established over the years. Aalso keep in mind that all of these sites are different, and have different fees and policies. However, if you are considering selling on an additional site, or jumping ship all together, perhaps you will find this list helpful.

Amazon- eBay's biggest competitor. Fees are higher, and Amazon sets the shipping price. Many ex-eBayers are happy here, others find it more expensive.

ePier - You don't pay if you don't sell - no listing fees, only a final value fee if your item sells.

Onlineauction - Auction format (5 styles), no listing fees, no final value fees, one low monthly membership fee.Store%20closed.jpg

Etsy - Trading venue for handmade items. 20 cents for each item listed - listing lasts 4 months. 3.5% commission fee after your item sells. Great for crafters.

Bidville - No lisitng fees. Final value fees 5% of sale price less than $25.

eCrater - Store offered free of charge. Fees are charged to those wishing to advertise their offerings in premium positions. In other words, if you want your item seen, you'll pay more.

iOffer - No listing fees. Commissions range from 50 cents to $5 depending on the sale price.

Your own website - Do it your way. Start your own website.
