I read an excellent article on eZine by Danny Gard, an eBay employee, about items you can purchase at Wal-Mart to resell on eBay. Most of these items are listed on international sites, but the profits are huge.
It goes without saying that the Nintendo Wii is a hot seller, worldwide. If you can get your hands on one, and can afford to purchase it, by all means list it on eBay.
Danny mentions, "If you want a real challenge, try selling baby food, diapers and
toilet paper on the eBay Korea site." You will encounter some translation issues, but if you can get past those, you will make big profits selling these items.
Another no-brainer is anything Hannah Montana or High School Musical. Wii games, dolls, CDs, DVDs, musical toothbrushes, and accessories like purses and totebags. Those two Disney shows are hugely popular with the tween age group worldwide.
The key to profiting on eBay is to think globally. We have such an abundance here in the United States, but not all countries around the world have this luxury. Read Danny's complete article on eZine.
