If you are an eBay seller, you undoubtedly had some real doozies asked by potential buyers. Lately my friends on different eBay discussion forums have been sharing some of the crazy ASQ they have received. Here are a few from my own personal experience.
Buyer posted this comment on his Paypal payment. "Leave on back porch. You have to jiggle the latch on the fence to get in." Hmmm, am I expected to personally deliver this item? A note on another Paypal payment, "Put on swing on front porch and don't worry about dogs, they don't bite."
That's comforting, I will pass it on to the USPS.
Measurements and sizing information was given on listing. Shopper asked, "I'm 5'4" tall. Will this fit me?" No comment there, I can hardly judge clothing sizes to buy a garment for myself, and I am supposed to guess whether this item will fit the anonymous person typing the question? Wait, let me gaze into my crystal ball.
Christmas was quickly approaching. Buyer emails on December 23, "Can you gift wrap this, put a card in it from me, don't put in an invoice, and overnight it to (recipient)?"
Title of item read, "NEW NWT Ann Taylor silk skirt BLACK size 10." Buyer asked, "Is this item new?"
Payment specifications stated in 3 locations on the listing, "Paypal only. No exceptions." Buyer just had to ask, "Can I send a money order?"
As a note to any eBay buyers out there, please read the listing before you ask questions. This will save both you and your seller time in the long run. And if you are a seller reading this, please share some of your wild ASQs in the comment section!
