The Anya Hindmarch "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" canvas totebag has been a hot item on eBay since summer 2007. Fashionistas, celebrities, and the environmentally conscious have been using the totes for all occassions including grocery shopping, a trip to the beach, or as a gym bag.
When these bags were introduced last year, they sold for a modest price at Whole 
Food stores and select boutiques and shops in the New York area. The bags are still selling for over $100 each on eBay.
Whole Foods announced last week that they have banned plastic bags in their 270 stores in the United States, Canada and the UK. "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" totes may increase in value as a result of this decision. Whole Foods will only allow recycled paper bags, a canvas bag, or a new reusable Whole Foods totebag available for 99 cents.
