As an eBay Power Seller and consultant, I am often asked, "What is a hot item to sell on eBay right now?"
One way to find out is to visit the eBay Pulse. The pulse provides a daily snapshot of the most popular, searched for, and "watched" items on eBay. What does that mean? Every eBay listing page has an option to "watch this item." The items with the most "watchers" show
up on the pulse. The members of some eBay groups and forums will ask each other to watch their items, so that the item can be shown on the pulse and receive even more exposure. Usually, an item will have at least 30 watchers to show up on the pulse.
The pulse also shows the top 10 most popular searches and the top 5 largest stores in each of eBay's 37 major categories. For example, here are the results for the top 10 most watched items in the Jewelry and Watches category. The eBay Pulse is an excellent tool for determining what to sell on eBay.
