Sold on the eBay Australia site, 4 golf balls were removed from Augusta the Python after she mistook the golf balls for eggs. Augusta was brought to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where she was x-rayed and sure enough, she had swallowed 4 golf balls.
The auction ended on January 11, with 40 bids and 14 unique bidders. The winner received the golf balls, unwashed, and an x-ray showing them inside of the python. Proceeds from the auction totalling $1,401 went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary which treats over 4,000 native Australian animals a year.
