Every eBay user is given an About Me page to tell the eBay community about himself and explain his policies or interests. eBay users may also use their About Me page for some affiliate programs. The About Me page is the only place on eBay where users may place outgoing links. 
Many sellers link to affiliate programs where they can earn commissions for referrals who sign up for a particular program.
