Clothing is one of the largest item categories on eBay. Many eBay users, myself included, regularly purchase clothing on eBay for myself and for my children.
If you're selling clothing on eBay, it is crucial to include measurements of the item. Garments vary greatly in size based on the brand or manufacturer. A Ralph Lauren size 6 Petite could be quite different than a Dockers size 6 Petite.
You should also include measurements on infants' and children's clothing. Again,
sizes vary depending on the brand. Not all children are created the same size. For example, my daughter was very hard to fit as a toddler - she was full through the waist and when ordering clothing online, I would not buy anything without knowing the measurements. Keep in mind that eBay shoppers may be looking through hundreds of listings and if the measurements are not on the listing, shoppers are more likely to click away rather than ask and wait for an answer. (We all know that some sellers don't answer questions at all, so many buyers don't bother asking them.)
Spoonfeeding your buyers as much information as possible will result in more sales. In addition, providing the measurements up front will save time later as you will not have to search for the item, take it out of the packaging, measure it, and answer an email.
