
Up for sale on eBay: A patriotic quilt created as a fundraiser to benefit the 250 families of the US Marine Corps Heavy Helicopter Unit 466. The unit has been deployed to Iraq 3 times in the last 4 years.![]()
The quilt, made by Rose McFadden, Betty Adams, and Susan Johnson took 41 hours to make. The women hope to raise at least $1,000 to help with expenses and perhaps a fun outing for the families of the unit. As of today, December 15, the price of the quilt has climbed to $910. The auction ends on December 21.
