The Auction Rebel has an excellent post today regarding selling magazines on eBay. Collectible, vintage magazines are one area that I have not ventured into yet.
The Auction Rebel explains that as a seller, you must understand why buyers want the magazines before you can market them on eBay. For example, the collector may be interested in the subject, the author, the illustrator, the advertising, or a first issue.
Collectible magazines can be found in the usual places such as at garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, and estate sales. The Auction Rebel provides a handy outline of how to grade the condition of the magazine.
When listing your collectible magazines on eBay, place them in the books/magazines back issues section.
