Ebay and other online auction powerselling tips and information

we work hard at getting product shipped out quickly as well as paying immediately upon auction end and sadly often times no feedback is left for us. That's one of the first things I do when I receive an item or someone pays for an item, leave feedback!

I couldn't agree more. I find that if you go and email all the buyers with a feedback reminder that another 75% or so will actually go and do it. It never hurts to ask! I'll ask about 2 times before just removing the buyer from the list and not bothering them anymore. If they haven't left feedback by then, they probably aren't going to.

I could not agree more. Leaving feedback lets the seller know that you have received an item and you are pleased with your purchased. This information is important for the seller AND for future bidders!

Many eBay Sellers are Stay-At-Home Moms (SAHMs)(and Dads) trying to add a supplemental income to help their family out. As Suzanne says, we are real people. In addition to all the family responsibilities, we try to source a Quality product for our Buyers, Package it as nicely as we would like to receive it, and make sure our customers are completely satisfied. As Moms & Dads, we are great communicators! All we ask for is Feedback! Give us a pat on the back & make our day!

Frankly, so long as my buyers are happy and keep coming back (and they do), I couldn't care less if they left me feedback or not. If I can't pay my tax bill with it, I'm really not that bothered!!

I think eBay have also put a lot of buyers off leaving feedback now they put details of the buyer's purchase in their feedback. Buyers don't want their Christmas gift purchases to show up in f/b, so they don't leave the seller any f/b, hoping that they won't be left any themselves. eBay seriously need to offer buyers the facility to make their purchases "secret", so the item won't show in f/b (though he comment and score still will) or in search: offer buyers a decent level of privacy and they might just like shopping on eBay a little better.

Sue, good point about the item being a gift. I guess I am just not that nosey to be looking at my family's and friends' eBay profiles to see what they are buying! You are definitely right about the privacy issue, especially if members of the same household are looking at each other's eBay profiles. Thanks for visiting!
