PS3 Sells for $44,000 on eBay!
A  PS3 - Playstation 3 sold for $44,000 on eBay last friday, but unfortunately for the seller, the high bidder is no longer a registered user of eBay.

Elsewhere on eBay, PS3's seem to be selling for $1,000 to $2,000, a tidy profit for those that stood in line and paid roughly $500 to $600.

Sellers on Amazon have the next generation console listed for $2649.95.

The PS3 hype seems to be bigger than than last years XBOX 360 extravaganza where a console sold for $10,000 on the eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) auction site.
