If you would like to get your hands on a TMX Elmo, I have a couple of them left that I am selling on my web site: FreeBubba.com
Here are some new details about TMX Elmo sales on eBay from AuctionBytes:
Every year, there seems to be one toy that captures the imagination of the U.S. and becomes the "must-have" item of the holiday season. This year, it looks like that toy is the T.M.X. Elmo. T.M.X. Elmo stands for "Tickle Me Elmo X" (X as in ten, or "Extreme"). The toy was released Tuesday, Sept. 19, and has already sold out from most retail venues, making it the perfect toy to resell on eBay for a profit.
According to Hammertap's recent research, the dolls have been averaging $84 per Elmo, with total resale revenues of $1.6 million. The product retails for $40, so that's an average profit of $44 per Elmo, with people paying about double the retail amount to find this sold-out toy.
