Gmarket is gaining momentum in South Korea
Gmarket, an eBay competitor in South Korea seems to be gaining momentum in the region and may be cathing the eye of Yahoo, who already owns a stake in the perseon to person, fixed price and auction play.

According to USA Today, the site had sales of $567 Million in the 2nd quarter, an increase of over 150% from the same quarter in 2005.

Over 9 Million people are registed with Gmarket. Pretty impresive numbers given that there are 48 Million people in the country.
