DO NOT BUY FROM MOVIE DOGPOUND----

I should have read the feedback first, but it shows 99% positive, but you will see it is not true. I have sent them 40 emails and several voice messages in regards to my missing item and they have not ONCE responded. Not even to asnwer my simple questions. BAD BAD Business -- BEWARE

I have never done business with Movie Dogpound, yet they have slammed a bogus charge on to my credit card. I see that their www.moviedogpound.com website has been dead at least a few weeks. The cached copy on Google, comes up blank just like the live copy.

Don't do business with them.

As of Jan 6, 2006 MovieDogpound has over 600 negative feedbacks in a month. They are obviously out of business with no interst in making restitution with their customers.

I can describe Movie Dogpound in one word: CROOKS!

Moviedogpound.com appears to be taking the money and running. An order placed 11/22/06 generated weekly backorder status e-mails until Xmas, then they stopped coming. I'd paid through PayPal, and when I attempted to open a dispute, I found out I'd missed PayPal's 45-day claim window by 72 hours - ouch! DON'T BUY FROM MOVIEDOGPOUND.COM...and keep an eye on your PayPal transactions!!!

NEVER BUY FROM MOVIE DOGPOUND. I bought a CD from them around xmas time, and was promised an email when it was shipped out, as well as FREE overnight shipping. It's been 3 weeks now, and I have received neither. I sent 2 emails b4 I finally got a form email acknowledging the delay, w/o any type of satisfactory resolution. This morning I tried to access their website, but it appears to be taken down. I just happened to stumble upon
THIS website here by accident. Looks like I'm not the only one who was screwed around by Movie Dogpound. I've never done this before, but I will take the advice of the previous poster and look into a Paypal refund. Thanks.

I purchased a cd on December 22, 2006 from Movie Dog Pound and have yet to receive the item. It is now January 14, 2007. I've been ripped off. Their website is gone, they're no longer a registered user of Ebay and they have not contacted me. Oh by the way ... they DID take the money. I have filed a claim with Paypal and I am searching for their location and filing a case with the BBB in their area.

I purchased a DVD from Movie dog pound and received it very promptly. I was suprised to read these posted items I was trying to buy from them again since they were so fast and reasonably priced. I am shocked!

moviedogpound.com Stole my money!

I never purchased from them before but they had good rating. however they took my money and I've never received my item... I got ripped off! Looks like they got out of Dodge! They're no longer a registered user with ebay. I have filed a dispute with Paypal but I don't know if that means I'll get my money back.

I also bought a cd from moviedogpound.com on dec-2006 and haven't received nothing.
they don't have a phone number and they don't answer my emails
Where can I submit an official complain?
I'm in California

I'm trying to find out where to complain also...right now I'm exchanging e-mails with eBay's Trust and Security Department, since eBay owns PayPal and PayPal doesn't appear to have a similar dept. to communicate with.

Overstock.com does list "moviedogpound" as a seller, with 50% of the recent feedback being two thumbs down (very poor). Says they're in Scottsdale, AZ.

The link posted on this website under "Top 5 eBay Stores by Number of Listings" brings up an eBay message, "Sorry, this store has been closed."

Yipes!

But if enough people make enough noise, maybe we can get someone to take action. Clearly a number of people have been caught in this scam, including folks like myself who are internet-savvy and have been buying on-line for years with no problem.

I also found one website for MovieDogPound that still seems to be live - that is, they will still "sell" things and take the money of the unwary. It is:
http://stores.channeladvisor.com/movie-dogpound/

This was my first and last time I will ever buy anything from ebay. I also purchased a cd from moviedogpound in dec. 2006 and like all the others never received it. I called Pay Pal and now I'm having trouble with that, trying to save my information to set up a permanent account to file a dispute. I hope Pay Pal comes thru. But I'm gonna look at it like this, it cost me $29.99 to learn a new lesson in life at age 49. Ha.

I am also one of many mo-fos that were ripped off by moviedogpound.com. They have already charged my account and I don't know where to complain. I am out $42.04! Bastards! I will continue to investigate this issue and turn this over to my credit cards theft management agency. I hope others will share info on how to get your money back from these crooks! Never got screwed online before these bastards.

Okay, here's some more info on getting your money back from Moviedogpound.com:

If you paid by PayPal, open a dispute on www.paypal.com. Do this regardless of how long ago you made the purchase.

If it's more than 45 days since the original transaction, PayPal will automatically put the transaction in "Deferred" status. (This is what happened to me.) BUT DON'T GIVE UP! Call Paypal's Customer Support line at 1-402-935-2050 and let them know that you are just one of MANY people who have been ripped off by Moviedogpound.com, and you are requesting that PayPal review and reopen your claim. I just did this and the agent was very helpful, saying that PayPal has reopened claims like this before when there appears to be a pattern of fraud.

If you paid by credit card, file a claim with the credit card company. You generally have at least 60 days to do this, and often a great deal longer.

If you paid by debit card, it may still be possible for you to file a claim if your debit card has a MasterCard or Visa logo on it (the transaction may have been processed by MC/Visa).

Bottom line - keep after 'em! Why should we take this ripoff lying down?

I too was ripped off by moviedogpound. I was really pissed that I could not give him negative feedback. The day I decided to leave negative feedback, was the day they were no longer registeed users on ebay.

I filed a dispute and escalated to a claim immediately. This is my advice to you. If it has been over 2 weeks, dont wait, file a dispute and escalate it to a claim immediately. I got my money back today. My purchase was made through paypal on dec. 13, 2006 I got my refund today, jan. 19, 2007.

I sent them a direct email (not via ebay/half.com etc) and got an auto reply, as posted after this message.
Is anyone else getting these and has anyone heard from them otherwise?
It's all a big pain in the butt!
Good luck to you all!
Pete

I have used the Internet through the years to buy hundreds of items. I finally talked my wife into buying something off the Internet (CD). Unfortunately, the agency she purchased from was these dogpound bastards...and our story is like everyone elses. they took the money and she got nothing. Please has anyone discovered where these guys headquarters, owners anything? We need to bring heat on them and now before this gets cold. I am pissed to the max.

Yes I'm another poor sod ripped off by this company. I'm in England and was buying christmas presents for my Wife's US Family.

No CD's no refunds.... I have raised a dispute with Paypall.

same story ordered dec 14 still no dvds
paypal is a pain in the ass, keeps telling me 30 days to resolve, i want to order dvds elsewhere think i will go to local store and pay more but at least there is someones ass to kick if thay rip me off

Have been reading the reviews for Movie Dog Pound, we also got charged through our PayPal account and never recieved merchandise. We did file a dispute and elevated it to a claim and WON!!! However, PayPal states, "We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery
of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed" quote/unquote. I think the U.S. Postal Service should get involved with this, it is mail fraud amongst other crimes against humanity. I think from now on we will only buy from reputable companies on line like Amazon, Best Buy, etc. Good luck on recovering any of your funds, but if you do find them please share, I have family in the mid-southwest.

Ordered two CD's Jan 16th to date have received nothing.... only auto-answer from the the DogDump email address.

Paid by M.O. and tried filing dispute but appears as two seperate purchases and so it would seem I'm out of luck to recover payment.

The bottom line is never, ever purchase anything through Paypal. Ever! There is supposed to be a "buyer protection" plan in place, but that is simply misleading window-dressing for aiding and abetting internet fraud. At the least, Paypal should terminate its relationship with Movie Dogpound and initiate legal action to really protect unwitting buyers who have been defrauded by one of their affiliated merchants.

I ordered 4 movies from moviedogpound and never received any. I too sent the money, which of course they kept. All the movies I ordered were supposed to be Christmas presents. If anyone finds out how to contact them or how to be reimbursed please let me know.

Well I guess I am not the only person having issues with Moviedogpound.com I ordered a cheer me up present for my mother and she never received it. I emailed then and got a response...

That is a bunch of BS. Since I had paid through my paypal account I filed a dispute. I then realized I had been charged for 20 movies, not 1. Paypal ruled in my favor but said they can't give me any money, because there is non in the paypal account of the seller! This is total crap. If anyone finds any info on location so I can file a claim in court to get my $420 back, please post it!

Moviemarz and bookmarz, aka moviemars.com (I see on your list they are #5 at eBay!) are as bad as or worse than moviedogpound. Is eBay not doing anything because they are so big? If you're curious, just Google "moviemars.com"

I am Austrian and ordered "only" 2 CDs from Moviedogpound and paid via Paypal on Dec. 21st,2006. That was a big mistake!!!
They took the money and ran. I wrote an e-mail after 5 weeks saying that I did not receive any item and that they should contact me to discuss what could be done -->
no reaction at all!
I am pretty angry now. I hope Paypal will support our case.

Movie dogpound sounds a lot like redtagmarket. I ordered a DVD from them and I have yet to receive it. I sent it out over two weeks ago. On top of that, they put a strike on my account because they didn't receive my money order yet. Now I am out $20.00. Thanks for nothing redtagmarket!!!

Ordered 3 DVDs, didn't realize something was awry until it was too late. I've had users go in & out of being registered, but still get my package even 2 weeks late. Coincidently, I assumed the same, whoops, now I'm out $40. Those bloody assholes, doesn't look like I'm getting my money back!

ordered a bunch of records from moviedogpound back in december. nothing. also got the automated response. nobody knows any other way to contact these guys? whats going on? that was $150 worth of records!

MOVIE DOGPOUND INFO:

(480) 248-8967

8776 EAST SHEA BLVD
SUITE B3A 190
SCOTTSDALE AZ 85260

I ordered last month and it tooked about 8-9 days till i received it. Maybe if your order is of greater importance then they react faster ..

I purchased a DVD from Moviedogpound and got the typical runaround as described by others here. The confirmation stated that I would be informed at the time of shipment. This never came. I waited for the two weeks specified in the confirmation email before sending my complaint. I received a form email citing computer failures. I then waited the time required by Paypal before filing a complaint. The complaint was deffered the same day for "not meeting resolution guidelines."
Do NOT buy from Moviedogpound.

If you're buying on eBay, STAY AWAY from all sellers that list thousands of items like these "top sellers". In my experience, ALL OF THEM are crooks. You know, if a seller has HUNDREDS of negative feedback within 1 month, there's a reason for it. They have very little or nothing of what they list in stock, everything is special ordered AFTER you pay. So you're waiting for them to receive it before they mail to you, and that's if the item is available at all. Many times they simply keep your money for an item that is not available until the buyer tries to contact them about it. Maybe they send you a refund, but probably not. So if you paid with PayPal, just file a claim after a few weeks to get your money back. If you don't receive it within 3 weeks, you're not going to get it because it's not available. Don't even bother trying to contact the seller because they won't respond. These large sellers don't give a crap about individual buyers. And the reason that eBay doesn't dump all the crook sellers they support is for the MONEY they make for eBay. Period. So that really makes eBay crooks as well. What really needs to happen is a class action lawsuit AGAINST EBAY AND PAYPAL for subjecting customers to be scammed by these criminals.
