
Google doesn't need to to buy or embrace any of these auction players. All they need to do is place a link to the relevant Google Auction search above or below the adwords column and presto, instant buyer traffic. The problem with most of these other sites is that they don't get the buyers. If you have the buyers, the seller will flock.
Why in the world are eBay competitors not joining forces to challenge the quasi-monopoly? Why cant Buy.com merge with Overstock.com and embrace Ebid.net, uBid.com, and Bidz.com?
