Farthest Distance for an eBay item pick up ever
eBay Chatter Jeff writes about the farthest eBay item pick up:

Imagine you're a seller in Ontario, Canada. You're selling a vintage crokinole board game on the site (crokinole is a Canadian game that's somewhat like a mini version of shuffleboard - don't worry if you've never heard of it, I had to look it up on Wikipedia), and your buyer asks if they can pick it up in person. "Not a problem," you think. Then you find out the buyer lives in Belgium.

CrokinoleboardThis is exactly what happened to pickastitch. "When I noticed the buyer was from Belgium, I was stunned," she said. "He asked very politely if he could pick up the board as he was going to be in Canada in June. I wondered if he realized how big Canada is, and if he was familiar with our country. I emailed him back, and kept my fingers crossed that he had a map." As the end of June approached, pickastitch started wondering if her buyer would show. But then she got an email from him, saying that he would be in the area soon and asking if he could pick it up. Even though she was at work when he finally stopped by, "my husband told me that they were very nice people and were  very pleased with the game. He was amazed that they had made it to our home from Belgium." A picture of the board they sold is to the right.

pickastitch estimates that her buyer traveled approximately 6059 kilometers (3,765 miles) to pick up the game.
