eBay - Yahoo Partnership

eBay Strategies
has some interesting screenshots of eBay's new Yahoo/Overture ad program.

Basically, eBay appears to be creating adsense-like revenue through Overture when a searched item has no matches on the eBay auction site.

I remember seeing other ads unrelated to eBay on eBay's front page within the last couple of months.

My guess is that eBay now knows that they can not extract any more fees out of PowerSellers and since site traffic is way down, they are looking for new ways to create revenue.
