
Skype might be the worst buy in the history of the dot com world.
I have to wonder why eBay didn't spend a million or two adapting open source instant messaging program, Jabber to do the same thing that Skype does.
I know sometimes these buys are more about the customer database than the product, but I have to question the logic in this situation. It's not like Skype users don't know about eBay.
So as Google prepares to through GBuy at eBay and PayPal, Microsoft launches a Skyperosoft Messenger complete with VOIP that will connect calls to land and cell phones.
eBay's probable repsonse? Raise Seller Fees.
